    Abstract: 在大型網路(large networks)或多處理器系統(multi-processor systems)中,部分的處理器(或稱作節點(nodes))故障可能會導致系統的癱瘓,因此,如何偵測診斷(diagnose)出故障的處理器以維持系統的正常運作就顯得重要了。今年度之計畫我們採用知名的比較偵測診斷模組(comparison diagnosis model),又稱為MM偵測診斷模組(MM diagnosis model),我們針對交換超立方體(exchanged hypercubes)EH(s,t),探討其局部偵測診斷(local diagnosability)性質,藉由判定網路之可局部偵測診斷的充分條件:節點v的延伸樹(extended tree) ET(v,n),我們證實在交換超立方體EH(s,t)上的任一節點v,可嵌入節點v的延伸樹ET(v,n),n  degv(EH(s,t)),並證明交換超立方體的局部偵測診斷能力。我們所提出的演算法判定網路單一節點是否故障只需O(log N)的時間內(N為網路總節點數),可大幅節省偵測診斷的時間與硬體資源。具有局部偵測診斷能力的網路,也可延伸帶來許多的益處,例如有助於提升局部網路的復原能力(resilience)、連通度(connectivity)、平行繞徑(parallel routing)、與減少電力消耗(energy consumption)等
